A “Family Holding” in Zerodha Kite refers to a feature that allows you to link and view the holdings of family members who also have trading and demat accounts with Zerodha.
This feature is useful for individuals who manage the investments of their family members and want to view their portfolio in a single dashboard.
To add a family member’s account to your Family Holding, you need to submit a request to Zerodha with the necessary documents for verification.
Once the account is linked, you can view the holdings of all the family members under a single login on Zerodha Kite.
How to Add Family Portfolio in Zerodha ?
To add a family member’s trading and demat account to your Family Holding in Zerodha Kite, you need to follow these steps:
- Login to Zerodha Kite using your credentials.
- Click on the ‘More’ tab on the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Select ‘Family’ from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the ‘Add Family Member’ button.
- Enter the details of the family member, including their name, PAN number, and email ID.
- Upload a copy of the family member’s PAN card, Aadhaar card, and a cancelled cheque or bank statement for verification purposes.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the process.
Once you submit the request, Zerodha’s support team will verify the details and link the family member’s account to your Family Holding.

You will receive an email notification once the account is successfully linked, and you can then view the family member’s holdings and trades in your Zerodha Kite account.
How Many Family Portfolio Account we can add ?
Zerodha allows you to add up to three family members’ trading and demat accounts to your Family Portfolio.
This means that you can link a total of four accounts, including your own, to view the combined portfolio of all family members in a single dashboard.
If you want to add more than three family members to your Family Portfolio, you can reach out to Zerodha’s customer support team and request additional slots.
However, it is important to note that the availability of additional slots may be subject to approval and could involve additional fees.
